Day 1 – Fly from New Zealand: Fly from Auckland/Christchurch/Wellington airport and arrive same day in the evening. IST (Indian Standard Time) is 7 and half hours behind than New Zealand time. You’ll be received at Delhi airport by one of our representatives and transferred to your Hotel. Relax for the night and get rid of Jet lag.

Day 2 – New Delhi to Agra (Taj Mahal): Welcome to New Delhi!  Meet us at your hotel lobby at around 10 AM for briefing from your tour escort. Drive through the tree lanes of New Delhi and embassies of Chanakyapuri to Agra.

Day 3 – Agra: After breakfast, enjoy your visit to one of the Seven Wonders of the World (Taj Mahal). An early morning visit to Taj Mahal at Sunrise becomes the star attraction of the day.  After a guided tour of Taj, head to the famous local gem stones & marble artisans to learn about the marble and gem stones carving and inlay techniques. Proceed to Jaipur after this.

Day 4 – Jaipur: Start your day with elephant ride up to the Amber Fort also known as Jodha Akbar fort. Experience the royalty of Jaipur by a guided visit to City Palace. Take a part in the evening Aarti at Govind Dev Ji temple. This temple is among the 7 temples of Lord Krishana of Vrindavan. The image of the deity (murti) was brought from Vrindavan here by Raja Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur. According to popular legend, Lord Krishna’s image in the temple looks exactly like Krishna’s form during his incarnation on Earth.

Day 5 – Udaipur: Start your journey to Udaipur this morning at around 10 am. Known as the City of Lakes, Udaipur is most celebrated for the fairy-tale marble palaces that appear to rise from the waters of Lake Pichola. It’s a beautiful drive through the Aravali Hills and many marble mines. A Farm restaurant stop over gives you a beautiful opportunity to walk through Marigold and vegetables farm. You can also enjoy their organic food. Also spot the 351 feet tall statue of

Lord Shiva on your way to Udaipur. Check in at your luxury hotel and relax for the evening as we have not much to do this evening after a long journey.

  • Drive to Udaipur – ‘Venice of the East’ (5 – 6 hours road travel).
  • Farm restaurant stop over for lunch.

Day 6 – Udaipur: Venture into a spectacular labyrinth of courtyards within the City Palace this morning, a soaring creation of marble and granite perched on the lake’s edge. Incredible photographic opportunities abound at this palace complex, the largest in Rajasthan, which blends medieval, European, and Chinese architecture and is richly decorated with inlaid mirror-work, mosaics, and frescoes. Later, explore the narrow streets of the old city by rickshaw, and stop to photograph a local market before visiting the 17th-century Jagdish Temple, adorned with fantastic carvings. A scenic boat ride on Lake Pichola provides an opportunity to capture the luminous white marble facade of Jag Niwas, now the Taj Lake Palace, and its shimmering reflection on the water. Finish your day by ‘The Dharohar Dance Show’ at Bagore Ki Haveli Museum. Older part of the city with it’s narrow streets gives you an opportunity to enjoy the Tuk Tuk rides in Udaipur,

Visit the local artisan in Udaipur to enhance your knowledge on Miniature Painting after lunch. Udaipur is also famous for its Gold and Silver Jewelry including expensive and inexpensive designs. Let us know in advance if this interests you, we can arrange your visit to one of the famous Jewelry Stores.

Day 7 – Jodhpur: Travel to the Blue City this morning at around 9 am. Visit a village family on your way to Jodhpur to see how they make Durries (local rugs). Check in your hotel and relax for the afternoon. We’ll leave for a guided street walk of the blue houses and a guided walk of the local market known as Sardaar Market in the evening. Visit the local stores there as Jodhpur has been well known for it’s textiles, handicrafts and spices. Return to your hotel after this.

  • Travel to Jodhpur – The Blue City (3 hours road travel)
  • Local Market & Blue houses street walk.

Day 8 – Jodhpur / Osian : Visit the majestic 15th century Mehrangarh Fort and take a guided tour of famous Umaid Bhawan Palace – one of the largest private residences in the world. Return to your hotel and relax for an hour. Leave for the Osian Desert Camp at afternoon. Have a light lunch as you’ll be served high tea at the sand dunes while watching the cultural music and folk dance show with a sunset.

Desert safari & camel ride is one of the best things to do in Osian. Enjoy a buffet dinner after drinks. Travel back to your hotel in the evening after dinner.

Day 9 – Bikaner: Start your day by a guided visit to the Karni Mata Temple also known as the rat temple famous for it’s rats. These rats are believed to be the reincarnation cycle of Mata’s close devotees from humans to rats and from rats back to human form.  Out of all of the thousands of rats in the temple, there are a few white rats, which are considered to be especially holy. They are believed to be the manifestations of Karni Mata herself and her four sons. Sighting them is a special blessing and visitors put in extensive efforts to bring them forth, offering prasad, a sweet holy food.

Day 10 – Bikaner to Amritsar: Take a long beautiful journey today to Amritsar.

Day 11 – Amritsar: Start your day with guided visit to Golden Temple. Completed in 1577 this temple was rebuilt and covered by gold foil in 1830 by Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji. Witness the Temple’s Community Kitchen serving approx 30,000 people everyday. You can also take part in the food preparation here. Visit the near by Jalian Wala Bagh and experience the local shopping and local Punjabi food. Finish your day at Wagah Border to witness the enthusiastic flag ceremony and parade.

Day 12 – Amritsar to Chandigarh: Take a beautiful drive to Chandigarh from  Amritsar this morning. Check in Your hotel and relax for the evening.

Day 13 Chandigarh Welcome to Chandigarh, the city beautiful of India. Visit the famous Elante Mall and Sector 17 Market to calm down your shopping nerves here as you can shop for Indian clothes as well as western clothes in really good prices. Enjoy a Bollywood movie this afternoon. Also enjoy your dinner at one of the famous local dhabas.

Day 14 Chandigarh to Haridwar – Travel to Haridwar in the same vehicle after breakfast. Check in your hotel by the afternoon and relax for the evening.

Day 15 Haridwar to Delhi – Take an early morning visit to river Ganges. Worship the holy river and take a dip. According to popular legend, it was here that Goddess Ganga when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from the locks of his hair and the place where River Ganges enters the plains of India after traveling 267 k.m. from it’s origin Gaumukh. It is believed that by taking a dip in river Ganges at Har ki Pauri you can get rid of all of your sins. You can also arrange a special prayer at local Durga Maa temple on request. Drive back to Delhi after breakfast. Check in your hotel by the afternoon and relax for the evening.

Day 16 – Delhi: Take a guided tour of India Gate & President’s Palace. Visit Akshardham – world’s largest Hindu temple complex. Enjoy the evening water show here to get the last mesmerizing memories of your wonderful trip with you. You’ll be driven to your Hotel after this.
